Katie Van Gieson Harrison is the President and Founder of KVH, a full-service, sales-driven marketing and events agency that she built from the ground up. With a passion for helping businesses grow through strategic marketing, team development, and impactful events, Katie has transformed KVH into a thriving company that partners with some of the Upstate’s most notable brands to drive results and build strong connections.

Before founding KVH, Katie spent over 13 years in Technology Sales and Channel Management at HP Inc., one of the world’s largest tech companies. During her career in the tech industry, Katie honed her expertise in sales strategy, leadership, and market development, which laid the foundation for her successful entrepreneurial journey.

Katie is also the visionary behind the KVH Women in Business Summit, launching in 2025, and The KVH Collective, a women’s professional development and networking society. These platforms were created to provide women with the tools, resources, and community they need to thrive in their careers and elevate their leadership potential. Through these initiatives, Katie is dedicated to fostering an environment where women can grow with confidence, connect with purpose, and achieve their professional goals.

Katie’s leadership and dedication to her community have earned her recognition from numerous organizations. She was named one of TALK Magazine’s 25 Most Beautiful in 2020 for her philanthropic work, featured by Anderson University for her career success in 2021, and recognized as one of the 5 Young Influencers in Tech by The Cannata Report in 2022. In 2024, she was honored as Greenville Fashion Week’s Wonder Woman of the Yearand listed among Greenville Business Magazine’s SC Women in Business – Women to Watch.

In addition to her business endeavors, Katie is deeply committed to giving back. She and her husband, Chris, are proud parents to their two children, Penelope and Duke, and have co-chaired the Upstate Heart Ball for the American Heart Association in both 2022 and 2025.

Katie holds a Bachelor’s in Business Management (2009) and an MBA (2011) from Anderson University. A former collegiate athlete, Katie brings a strong sense of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance to everything she does. Her unwavering belief in the power of women to lead and succeed continues to drive her work, both in business and in the community.
